Lou, formerly of Rankin, age 83, died on December 30, 2014 and Sally, age 83, died on February 14, 2015, and they became reunited on that special Valentine's Day. They are survived by Sally's children, Jackie Berstresser, Geraldine (Gregg) Offenbach, David Yenchi, all of Pittsburgh and Carol Ann Berkstresser of OH; Lou's sister, Mary (Jim) Macaluso of Monroeveille; Sally's sisters, Florence (Lloyd) Diubliss of FL, and Irene Nesbit of Greensburg; Sally's brother, Jimmy Gerhard; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Lou was a Korean War Army veteran and a retired teacher of the Woodland Hills School District. Sally was a former employee of The Wooden Nickel in Monroeville. Lou and Sally treasured family and longtime friendships, sharing their summers in Pittsburgh at memorable gatherings with those they loved. Lou shared his sense of humor and quick wit with family and friends. Sally's passion for Bingo and penny slots made casino trips fun and lucky for both of them. SMITH JANICE A. (CAPUTO) Age 77, of Freedom, passed away on February 22, 2015. She is survived by her husband, James; and her mother, Myrtle Caputo. In addition she is survived by her children, Janeen (Bob) Goodrick, Jill (Michael) Collins; her seven grandchildren, Adam, Amie and Audrey Goodrick, and Anne, Shane, Sarah, and Ryan Collins; she is also survived by her sister, Judy (Dennis) Kelley; brother-in-law, Dennis (Susan) Smith; nieces and nephews, Denise Kelley, David Kelley and family, Dr. Lee Trombetta and family, and Lucas Trombetta. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Caputo; and her sister, Brenda Trombetta. After graduating from Freedom High School in 1955, as Valedictorian, she continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Nursing School. She graduated as an R.N in 1958. Upon graduating, she started working for the Rochester Hospital, in Rochester, PA. A few years later she took time off of employment to have two great offsprings, Janeen and Jill. Then she went back to work at the Medical Center of Beaver County, starting in the Coronary Unit. She was the head nurse in coronary care for a couple of years before transferring to outpatient surgery until she retired in 1996, with 33 years of service. After retirement, her first love was her grandchildren, followed by taking many cruises, and enjoying vacation time with the whole family at some warm beach. She also loved babysitting seven grandchildren when she could. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in the Unionville United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas B. Myers, Jr. officiating. Interment took place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom. Arrangements were by the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC. of Rochester. PINKNEY MARJORIE (LLOYD) Of Bethel Park, PA, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died peacefully in her sleep with her family at Asbury Villas on March 11, 2015, at the age of 91. Marjorie is survived by her children, Debbie (Tom) Davis of Carnegie, PA and Scott (Debra) Pinkney of North Falmouth, MA; her grandson, Spencer Pinkney of Worcester, MA; her sister, Mary Louise (Richard) Keller of White Rock, NM; and many, many nieces, nephews and friends. Marge was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Ellwood (Spud) Pinkney; her brothers, Hazen (Irene) Lloyd and Thomas (Barbara) Lloyd; and her sister, Virginia (Arthur) Reich. Marjorie was born on August 8, 1923, in Ellsworth, PA, to Hazen and Dolvena Lloyd. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1941, from The University of West Virginia in 1945 (Magna Cum Laude) with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and from The University of Pittsburgh in 1969 with a Master of Education degree in Psychology and Counseling. She was a proud member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society for academic excellence. She married Spud, her high school sweetheart, in 1944. She began her family after moving to Bethel Park, PA in 1950, and began working for Baptist Homes as an accountant after her children had become independent. Her children remember her as a kind and loving mother who was the foundation of the family and who encouraged them to pursue their goals, wherever they might take them. Marge was accomplished at intellectual pursuits and often enjoyed word and jigsaw puzzles, the more complicated the better. She was a generous individual who loved helping people and who was passionate about her faith. She was an active and dedicated member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park and often volunteered her time there. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later time at Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park, PA, with interment with her husband, Spud, to follow in the columbarium there.
