SCHRAMM GEORGE NELSON, Jr. Age 84, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017, surrounded by family. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late George Nelson Schramm, Sr., of Cumberland, MD, and Pauline Hill Schramm of East Liverpool, OH, George is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Joan Norkus Schramm of Lake Wylie, SC; daughters, Julie (Alec) Frisch of Atlanta, GA and Jill (Chris) Sonderby of Atherton, CA; grandchildren, Max and Madeline Sonderby and Heather and Megan Frisch; and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Goodwin Timhill Tim Schramm; and sister, Deborah Schramm Brewster. George grew up in Mt. Lebanon, PA, and graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School. He attended the University of Virginia, was appointed midshipman in the Naval ROTC, was honored to live on the University's Lawn, and graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce in 1956. He served two years in the US Army. George spent his entire professional career in the steel industry: for ten years with U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Chicago, then for 24 years with Modern Drop Forge in Blue Island, Illinois. George was CEO of Modern Drop Forge when he retired in 1990. In retirement, George consulted for Basic Steel before finally escaping the Chicago winters for the Carolinas. George and Joan met and married in 1967 in Chicago then lived in Hinsdale, IL, for 25 years while they raised their family. George enjoyed retirement in Lake Wylie, SC, where he happily spent time with family and friends rooting for the Steelers, Bears and Cubs, and pursuing his passion for woodworking, golf, reading, fine dining and wine. CIRCELLI PAULA ZACHER Paula Zacher Circelli, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2017. Beloved wife of Robert A. Circelli; loving mother of Jordyn Dunsworth; stepmother of Jessica (Keith) Hill and Matthew (Rebekah Hall) Circelli; grandmother of Aidan, Blake, Camden, Kinsley and Emma; daughter of the late Irwin and Laverne Zacher; much loved sister of Thomas (Donna) Zacher and Cathy (David) Lombardi. Also survived by many adoring nieces, nephews; her lifelong best friend, Mary Emanuele; and many friends in Pittsburgh and Punta Gorda. Paula had an illustrious and successful working career. Most recently she was a Sales Director at Dex Media for over ten years. Also notable, she was a Mary Kay Sales Director who drove a pink Buick Regal as a sign of her success. She retired one year ago upon arrival to her new home in Punta Gorda, Florida. She embraced her new lifestyle in many capacities. She loved her rescue dog, Benny, who became a certified pet therapy dog, together they visited patients in area hospitals on Mondays. She was a volunteer at the Animal Welfare League, a member of a Card Club, a Bunco Club, and as an avid reader, a Book Club. She was also a member of the Real Housewives of Deep Creek Club where she and Robert had made their new home. She was an all-round athlete her whole life. It began in her childhood on the pool club swim team and state backstroke champion, to a pitcher on many company softball teams, to skiing all over the world, a good golfer by any standard, and most of all, she loved to take long walks with her husband, Robert and their dog, Benny, as well as her dearest friends. Her family and friends were her life. She had traveled the world in her lifetime and had lived in many cities and countries. Her life was an adventure. Paula knew the secret to life. She was born June 9, 1941 in Coraopolis, PA a daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Egley) Kozar. Laraine and her husband, Jerry owned and operated a restaurant called the Village Dairy in Moon Township, PA. She also worked as a secretary in real estate and automotive business before her retirement. They moved to Apex about six years ago after retiring from the Pittsburgh area. Laraine enjoyed shopping, cooking, reading, cruising, and was an avid Steelers fan. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Laraine was preceded by her husband, Gerald Edward Matus in 2015. Lou Rene was born in West Mifflin, the daughter of the late Francis and Minnie (Frantz) Rushe and Ed was born in Jeannette the son of the late Edmund F. and Mary 'Boots' (Cole) Copper. Lou Rene was a retired school teacher for West Mifflin School District and Ed was a retired maintenance man for PNC Bank. Both were members of Homeville Christian Church, loved to travel, were huge fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins, spent their winters in Florida, but Lou Rene had a special love for shopping and Ed had a great passion for golf. Beloved parents of Debra (Timothy) Maloberti, Melody (Mark) Rasor, Shari Howard and Edmund F. Copper; cherished grandparents of Lee, Melissa, Amanda, Brett, Ashley, Brittney and Zachary; special great-grandparents to Ryleigh and Mackenzie; brother and sister-in-law to Barbara Mona and Ann Copper.
