BARNES MARYANNE TAPTICH Passed away peacefully in Atlanta, GA on September 6, 2014. She was born on July 27, 1932, on the North Side, and was a longtime resident of the O'Hara Township, Fox Chapel and Aspinwall areas. She was a proud graduate of Chatham University, Pittsburgh. Her zest for life was an inspiration to those around her. She had a passion for real estate, and as an entrepreneur she founded Barnes and Associates Real Estate in 1986. In 2002, she was honored by Governor Schweiker as one of the Pennsylvania Best 50 Women in Business. Maryanne loved networking and being part of her community. She was an active Rotarian who had the distinction of being the first woman to be elected President in her area and served three terms as an Assistant District Governor. She was a member of Pittsburgh Professional Women, Women's Business Network, WIN-Pittsburgh, American Association of University Women, Association of Commercial Real Estate and National Association of Women's Business Owners. Her love of the outdoors extended to serving as President of the Conservation Council of Fox Chapel, serving on the Pittsburgh and Aspinwall Shade Tree Commissions and being a member of the Woodland Garden Club. She was an author and a generous contributor to local arts and charities. Maryanne was preceded in death by her parents, The Honorable Francis Taptich and Mary Burick Taptich; brother, Russell Taptich; and grandson, Nicholas Barnes. She is survived by four loving sons, William J. Barnes of Tybee Island, GA, Douglas (Catherine) of Alpharetta, GA, Winston (Sandra) of Mill Valley, CA, Andrew (Deborah) of Menlo Park, CA; seven wonderful grandchildren; and her brother, Edward P. Henry was born on March 30, 1927, in Trafford, the son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Lenart) Cynkar. Henry was retired from Giant Eagle as a Butcher. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army and a member of the St. Regis Church Trafford. Henry was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Cynkar. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Stella A. (Levitsky) Cynkar; his children, JoAnn Molnar (Bob) of Alexandria, VA, Henry J. Cynkar of Apollo, James Cynkar (Darla) of Level Green, Thomas Cynkar (Rhonda) of Ellicott City, MD and Ann Marie Sardineer (Darrin) of Trafford; his six grandchildren, Hunter Anne and Noah Cynkar, Pamela Molnar, Zachary, Natalie and Emily Cynkar; his sister, Josephine McCracken (George); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. EVANS F. ROBERT Formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed into the presence of The Lord on September 10, 2014. He was born on October 7, 1930, in Parkersburg, WV to Ernest E. and Vivian Evans. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Winifred Joan Waechter, on Christmas Day, 1930. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in chemical engineering. Bob spent his 41 year career working for PPG Industries in the chemical division. He was a lifelong learner and enjoyed everything from making home improvements, woodworking, repairing cars, studying American history or his family's genealogy. He loved spending time in the beautiful state parks of West Virginia and traveling the world for his career and with his family. One of his greatest joys was taking his family to the beach. Bob loved serving The Lord and was always active in the churches he belonged to. He spent the last 10 years of his life living near family in Louisville, KY.
