SEGINA GLORIA (STOUT) 76, of West Mifflin, died peacefully, on February 1, 2014. Born August 10, 1937 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Cecilia (Reynolds) Stout. She was a member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin and a former employee of the student union of the University of Pittsburgh. Beloved wife of Klement Segina; she is also survived by three loving sons, Gregory (Lisa) Segina and Michael (Kathleen) Segina, both of West Mifflin, and Jason (Heather) Segina of Jefferson Boro; six grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Connor, Tyler, Gunnar, and Ares. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Ondrey. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. in the WILLIAM S. SKOVRANKO MEMORIAL HOME, Richford and Commonwealth Aves., Duquesne. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the memorial home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Resurrection Church. Benson and John (Katherine) Benson; stepmother of Joseph Lengyel, Jr.; beloved grandmother of John, James, Jeffrey, Joseph (Diane), Dawn, and Kelly Benson and Carrie, Lori, Maura, and Matthew Lengyel; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sister of the late Stanley Ptasienski, Nellie Kos, and Helen Pope. WEMM SISTER M. MATTHIAS (JOYCE ANN) A Pittsburgh Sister of Mercy for 55 years, died at Mercy Hall on February 2, 2014. Born in Braddock, PA, she was 73 years old. Daughter of Edward and Catherine (Graham) Wemm, Sister Matthias entered the Sisters of Mercy from St. Anselm Parish in Pittsburgh, PA in 1958 and made final vows in 1964. Sister Matthias earned a B.S. from Mount Mercy College (now Carlow University), a Master of Education degree from California University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Early Childhood from the University of Northern Colorado. She taught in area Catholic elementary schools, including St. Colman, St. Vincent in Latrobe where she was principal for many years, and St. Maurice. Sister Matthias was involved with children at St. Maurice's for more than 20 years. Sister loved to teach and also tutored young children. She enjoyed travel, developing her coin and stamp collections and was gifted in sewing and ceramics. Her favorite sport was baseball, and she knew many of the players personally. Sister Matthias was always concerned about the police, and even ran for an office once in the Borough of Forest Hills. Preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Edward Wemm, Sister Matthias is survived by a sister, Virginia (Steve) Bachner; and two nephews, Edward (Terry) and Gregg Bachner; and a cousin, Reverend Warren Metzler of St. James in Wilkinsburg. Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 1-8 p.m. at the Convent of Mercy, 3333 Fifth Avenue. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the Convent of Mercy, followed by interment in St. Xavier Cemetery, Latrobe, PA. MILLIGAN WESLEY SCOTT Age 69, of Crescent, PA, passed away Feb. 1, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley Beaver. He was born in Sewickley Dec. 4, 1944 to Willard W. and Jean Milligan. Scott was a USMC veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a Regional Office Manager for State Auto Mutual Insurance Co. with 38 years of service retiring in 2007. Scott's favorite pastimes were golfing, going to movies, bowling, and breakfast outings with his friends, shopping at the stores, and he enjoyed music. He is survived by his stepmother, Eleanor Milligan; two children, Kathy (James) Dilonardo of Beaver Falls, Dean (Kim) Milligan of Schwenksville PA; a sister, Tina (Bill) Frost of NJ; four grandchildren, twins Aidan and Riley Milligan, Guilia and Luca Dilonardo; he was also predeceased by his wife, Linda Cunningham Milligan; and a sister, Carol Davis. Born June 6, 1956 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann (Loncaric) Summers and Donald R. (Josephine) Summers. Doreen was a loving daughter, sister and aunt who treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. In addition to her father and stepmother, she is survived by her sisters, Dawn (Chuck) Williams and Dana (John) Dillon; her nieces and nephews, Leigh Ann (Joshua) Rose, Eric (Theresa) Williams, Patrick (Dacie) Williams, Nickolas Dillon, Alex Dillon; and her two great-nieces, Lily Rose and Ava Williams. LANG R.H. “DUTCH” On Saturday, February 1, 2014, R.H. "Dutch" Lang, 88, of Harrison City, formerly of Pitcairn. Dutch was preceded in death by his wives, Doris and Edna Mae; his parents, E.K. and Charlotte (Brechin) Lang; his brother, George Lang; and a son, Bob Lang; survived by his sons, Denny (the late Linda) Lang and Edward (Cindy) Lang; grandchildren, Brandon (Ann) Lang, Ryan Lang, Brian (Jen) Lang and James Lang; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ireland and the late Willow; also nephew, Terry Lang; and niece, Charlotte Lang. Dutch was one of the family owners of Lang Hardware Store in Pitcairn for many years. Beloved husband of the late Naomi (McDonough) Stasko; father of Naomi Gouker of Aiken, SC, Gloria Stasko of Huntingdon, PA, Stanley Stasko of Joppa, MD, and Albert John Stasko of Essex, MD; brother of Ernest Stasko of Scottsdale, PA; also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. A native of Homestead, PA, Albert was a son of the late John and Anna Yocubik Stasko. He graduated from Munhall High School and The University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Stasko proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was an electrical engineer and retired from Western Electric. He lived in the Aiken area for the last 18 years and was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Born April 15, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, she is the daughter of the late Norman and Blanche Spong; beloved wife of 62 years to George Akerhielm; dear mother of Sue (Tom) Howell of Upper St. Clair, PA, and Nancy Akerhielm of Syracuse, NY; brother, Richard (Marilyn) Spong of Greensboro, NC; two cherished grandchildren, Tommy and Sarah Howell; numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanne graduated from Bucknell University in 1950 where she met her husband, George. She was a nursery school teacher early in her married life. In later years, she was an Assistant Art Director at WCNY T.V. in Syracuse, NY, and was the Art Director for the Lady Bug's Garden children's T.V. show. She also worked at the Gallery II Art & Framing Shop in Manlius, NY. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date in Syracuse, NY.
