STADELMAN ROLAND C. “RED” Of Arlington, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Oakland, on January 30, 2014, 12 days after celebrating his 83rd birthday with family and friends. A Korean War veteran, Red was the owner of J&R and Cleeland Printing on the South Side until the family business shut its doors for good in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou (Urbaniak). Red is also survived by seven children; including six daughters, Diana Assad (David) of the South Side Slopes, Rose McClelland of Jefferson Hills, Margaret Vavrek (Gary) of Hopewell, Catherine Hennessy of Bethel Park, Susan McIntyre of Arlington/South Side, and Christine Najdzinski (Benji) of Bethel Park. He is also survived by his son, David Stadelman (Linda Kernan) of Arlington/South Side. Red was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Leah Westfall and Bernard Stadelman. Red was a longtime member of the St. Henry Church, Holy Name Society, St. Henry Lyceum, St. John Vianney Parish Choir, and the El-Dorado (Knoxville). In addition to his wife and children, sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, Red was the proud grandfather to 25 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was born February 3, 1931, in Maishofen, Austria, daughter of the late Markus and Theresia Santner Faistauer. She was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Boggs in 2009; and a sister, Elfriede Faistauer. Hertha is survived by two sons, William Mark Boggs of Murrysville and Karl Edward (John Weiss) Boggs of Hopewell Junction, NY; a sister, Ernesta Hutter; a niece, Molly K. McMILLIN BLAIR STEELE Age 78, of Mt. Lebanon, on Monday, January 27, 2014. Born on May 7, 1935, in Monongahela, PA, he was the beloved husband for 53 years of Judy McMillin; father of Barbara, Douglas and James. Blair was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University '57, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. McMillin spent his entire career at Reed Smith and served on the Management and Executive Committees and as Director of Legal Personnel. He was the head of the Environmental Group for 15 years. He was selected for Best Lawyers in America-Natural Resources/Environmental from the inception of that category until retirement. He was a member of the ACBA, PBA and ABA. Mr. McMillin was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and served several terms as Clerk of Session and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He also served two terms as President of the Harvard Yale Princeton Club and as a Trustee of the Clan Donald Educational and Charitable Trust. He was also a member in English and American groups studying the novels and poetry of Thomas Hardy. He regularly traveled to England to attend conferences at the sites of Hardy's novels. BURTON ALBERT G. Albert G. Burton, LCDR U.S. Navy (retired), 89, of Green Tree, formerly of Braddock, on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Beloved husband of Angeline G. Restanio Burton; son of the late Stephan and Anne Ferko Berton; loving father of Christine Burton and Bernadette (Jack) Burton-Ferry; brother of Joseph (Mary Alice) Berton and the late Stephen (late Margaret) Berton; grandfather of Michael and Erin Ferry. Mr. Burton was a graduate of Braddock High, California State Teachers College, and earned his Master's degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 30 years service, serving during World War II, in the Normandy Invasion and Okinawa, and the Korean Conflict. He was a Blue and Gold Naval Academy Information Officer. He enjoyed coaching baseball and football for Braddock High School and was inducted into the WPIAL Hall of Fame.
