SCHMITT RALPH J. Age 84, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. Born on April 8, 1930, son to the late Charles and Clotilda Schmitt. Beloved husband to the late Marie Schmitt; uncle to Charles F. (Kathleen) Schmitt III, Kathleen (Wayne) Byerly, Ronald W. (Mary) Schmitt, Sharon Voigt, Michael and the late Lorraine Urbaniak; also loved by many great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother, Charles F. Schmitt, Jr. and his wife, Rita Schmitt. Ralph was a member of the US Army and proudly served in Korea. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Friends will be received on Monday, March 16, 2015, from 9-11 a.m. at the CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 2935 Brownsville Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15227. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 11 am. at St. Norbert Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full Military Honors.
