POPOWSKI CAROL V. 75, of Harmar Twp., passed away at home, on August 17, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 29, 1937 in Pittsburgh to the late Paul and Myrtle Flickinger McKenna. Carol worked at the Newfield Coal Mine for a few years and most recently a cashier at the Harmar Car Wash. Carol liked visits to the seashore and seeing the ocean. Survivors Include: Loving husband of 30 years, Robert F. Popowski; daughter, Judith M. (Lou) Kahlan of Penn Hills; son, John William Emerson of Fawn Twp., son, James J. Emerson of Springdale; sisters, Sister Judith Marie McKenna, SC of Brookline, Ruth Ann Ruehling of Verona; grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott and Michelle Beatty; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Bobbie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard and Frank McKenna.
