SCHAFER CHARLENE G. (GIBBONS) Age 71, of Baldwin, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2014. Daughter of the late Charles "Chick" and Grace Gibbons; loving wife of the late Lawrence Schafer; cherished mother of Christine (Craig) Thornton, Maureen (Ben) Siclare, Laureen (Lenny) Pulcini, Colleen Smith (Dave Yasko), Lawrence Schafer, Charles (Diana) Schafer and Michael (Marianne) Schafer; grandmother of Cassady Thornton, Rachel, Benjamin and Emmalyn Grace Siclare, Angelo and Dominic Pulcini, Ryan and Madison Smith, Brielle Schafer; sister of JoAnn Herscoe; stepdaughter of Alice Gibbons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Char was a devoted mother who loved caring for her family and truly enjoyed helping others. She had a strong faith, adored children and touched the lives of everyone she met. Char was an avid baker and a Penguins and Pirates fan. She loved movies and trips to the ocean.
