DUNDERDALE DOUGLAS ALLEN Douglas Allen Dunderdale went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2014. Lately of Rural Valley, Armstrong County, and formerly of Pittsburgh, he was born in Herrin, Illinois on August 21, 1924, to the late George and Henrietta (Heydenreich) Dunderdale. He moved to South Hollywood, CA, and attended the University of Southern California, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He attended the Biblical Seminary of New York City and Princeton Theological Seminary, where he graduated with a Master's of Divinity in 1954. He was an Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh and then Sr. Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville, PA, the Bellefield Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh, the First Presbyterian Church of Orange, NJ, and the Eastminster Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. He started E. Liberty Family Health Care in 1982, along with Dr. David Hall and served as the President of the Board of Directors until 2013. In 1989, he founded the William & Mildred Orr Center for Compassionate Care. An active member of Pittsburgh Presbytery, he retired from active ministry in 1994, but served part-time at First Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Northminster Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, and Hebron United Presbyterian Church in Penn Hills. He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Elinor (Porter); his two sons, Douglas Andrew (Adela) of San Francisco, CA and David Allen (Kim) of Durham, NC; his daughter, Katrina Lyn of Verona, PA; six grandchildren, Lucy, Nellie, Nora, Samuel, Sofia, and Abraham; and his sister, Georgia Katrina Heller of Charlotte, NC. Interment was private. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Hebron United Presbyterian Church, 10460 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh.
