SILVERMAN LYNNE ELIZABETH BEITZEL Of University City and later Webster Groves, MO, died peacefully in her sleep on March 16, 2014, at her residence. Born May 23, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lynne is predeceased by her parents, Henry Lewis and Ruth (Colhouer) Beitzel of Pittsburgh, PA, and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann. Lynne was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and teacher. She helped many people learn to play piano and then went on to work to help many train to sit for the GED test. She had many successful students and was very proud of their accomplishments. She is survived by her husband, Robert Silverman; sons, Robert (Rob) Silverman (Debbie Holderle) and Michael (Mike) Silverman (Katherine); grandchildren, Hannah and Jack Silverman of the St. Louis area; and her sisters, Victoria (Vikki) Newton (Thomas) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Diana Beitzel of Tilburg, the Netherlands; sister-in-law, Ann (Popovec) Silverman (Ronald) of Uniontown, PA; two aunts, Gloria Varga of Greer, SC, Ann Goodworth of Mason, OH; and uncle, the Reverend John A. Goodworth, of Mason, OH; and loving nieces, nephews and cousins. We love you and miss you! Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Foodbank and The Carter Center.
