SMIGIEL MARY A. (POLTENO) Of Stowe Twp., on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Frank J. Smigiel, Sr.; precious mother of Darlene Partridge, Maggie Barna, and Frank J. Smigiel, Jr.; wonderful mother-in-law of Richard Partridge, Jack Barna, and Diana Smigiel; adored and proud grandma of Frank J. Smigiel III and Victoria Rose Smigiel, Grandma, Guess What?; Sister of Lena Hotujec. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Carmella Polteno; her sister, Viola Babe Andrzejewski; and her brothers, Joe, Jimmy, Bill Sheik, Frank, Patsy, and Tony. Loving aunt to Geralyn Glabicki, and the late Marie Melnick; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. The family is especially grateful for the excellent and compassionate care provided by her doctors, nurses, and aides, and the entire staff of the 3rd Floor and Ohio Valley General Hospital.
