TILLISON DONALD GEORGE Age 93, a resident of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Born July 20, 1919 in Union City, NJ, he was the son of the late Clyde B. and Mary (Dehnert) Tillison, Sr. Mr. Tillison proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was stationed in the Burma/China Theater. After the war, he began a long career in the Railroad and Coal Industries. After many years of dedicated service, he retired in 1982. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two loving children, Janet Halterman and her husband, Robert, of Franklin MA, and John Tillison and his wife Abbey, of Cranberry Township; in addition he leaves five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tillison was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Anne K. (McGrail) Tillison of Verona, PA; his son, Donald G. Tillison, Jr.; his daughter, Marianne McCourt and his brother, Clyde B. Tillison, Jr. Services and Interment will be held privately by the Tillison family at a later date.
