McGINNESS JOSEPH P., Sr. Age 85, formerly of White Oak, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence. He was born on May 26, 1928, in McKeesport and was the son of the late Edward and Grace Lucey McGinness. He was the husband of the late Elsie Bellas McGinness. Mr. McGinness was a graduate of Carnegie Tech with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, and he received his M.B.A. from The University of Pittsburgh. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired Chemical Engineer with U.S. Steel Corp., Clairton Works. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Church and formerly its Keener Citizens. Mr. McGinness is survived by his children, Joe (Mary) McGinness, Jr. of California, Pat (Latiffa) McGinness of California, Tim (Brenda) McGinness of Virginia, Jim (Traci) McGinness of North Carolina, Linda (Niel) McFadden of Wexford, Kathleen (Bill) Hutchinson of Tarentum, and Gerry (Ildi) McGinness of Florida; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Gerald and Jack McGinness. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the JENNIFER S. JORDAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., White Oak. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church, with Rev. Kevin Dominik, officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
