SHAFFER HENRIETTA E. (BOST) 89, of Arlington, VA, formerly of North Versailles, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Henrietta was born August 9, 1924 in North Braddock, a daughter of the late Henry and Ethel Bost. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and worked as a cafeteria worker at East Allegheny School System. In addition to her parents, Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Shaffer; and daughter, Marilyn L. Shaffer. She is survived by her sons, Gary L. (To-Nhu) Shaffer of Arlington, VA and Mark A. Shaffer of North Versailles; grandchildren, Nathan R. Shaffer, Amber A. Shaffer, Ethan M. Shaffer, and Nhat-Quang Dao; sister, Evelyn Soderberg. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the FORGIE - SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, PA 15035, where a Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Richard Krug, officiating.
