
WUERTHELE NANCY J. (MURPHY) Age 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was the sole owner of Yesterday's News, Pittsburgh's first vintage clothing store, for over 30 years, before retiring in 2013. A longtime resident and businesswoman in the South Side, Nancy was beloved by many friends, colleagues, regular customers, and neighbors. She was an opinionated fashionista, an expert seamstress, a devoted feline caretaker, and safe haven for wayward souls of all kinds. An avid lover of culture and an expert listener, she was never starved for conversation. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Banks; her grandchildren, Cailey Breneman, Zach Breneman, and Hannah Banks; her sister, Patricia Gannett; her nieces, Jamie Story and Keli Lydell; her son-in-law, Chris Banks; and her cousin, Mike Clark. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community, 2700 Jane Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
