LAUTANEN ROBERT O. Of Sewickley, PA, died on January 7, 2014. Born February 5, 1921, in New Lyme, Ohio to Oscar and Maria Lautanen. He is survived by his wife, Mary Albright Lautanen; son, David; and daughter, Karen (David) Russey; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his brother, George (Eleanor) Lautanen. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Sustarsic; his son, Dennis; and 11 brothers and sisters. Bob was a WW II veteran, a Purple Heart recipient, and a member of The American Legion. He retired from LTV (formerly J&L Steel Co.) after 33 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing baseball, and using his carpentry and woodworking skills. Bob will be remembered for his generosity and love of his fellow man. The family will receive friends at the RICHARD D. COLE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 328 Beaver Street, Sewickley, PA 15143 on Saturday, February 1, 2014, from 10 a.m. - noon and 2-4 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held directly after visitation at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sewickley Public Library, 500 Thorn Street, Sewickley, PA 15143.
