LUCAS RUTH C. Age 81, of West Mifflin, died January 5, 2014. Born in McKeesport on September 25, 1932, she is the daughter of the late George and Mildred McDivett Beck; and the wife of the late Joseph Lucas. She was the Personnel Manager at G.C. Murphy Company in Bethel Park and Pleasant Hills until she retired. She liked gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was survived by her sons, Ron (Dolly) Lucas of West Mifflin, Joseph George Lucas of South Side; grandchildren, Mandy and Josh; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Logan; brothers, Paul Beck of Baltimore, Maryland and Jay Beck of Delaware, Ohio; sisters, Barb (John) Strucker of Port Vue, Helen Brown of Lady Lake, FL, Dee Dee Wheeler of The Villages, FL, Angie Doherty of Bricktown, New Jersey. She is preceded in death by siblings, George, Joseph, William, and Bruce Beck and Marie Wilson and Rosemary Bowers. A gathering will take place on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the HUNTER - EDMUNDSON - STRIFFLER FUNERAL HOME, 600 Market St., McKeesport, 15132.
