O'CONNOR BARBARA ANN (SLATTERY) Age 70, of Swisshelm Park, on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away surrounded by her loving family. This year she would be married 50 wonderful years to her loving husband, Thomas Lil Hap, who was always by her side and loved her with all his heart. She is survived by her children, Thomas W. O'Connor and his wife, Stacey, Michael A. O'Connor and his wife, Denise, and Denise L. Welsh and her husband, John; grandmother of Reilly, Caley, Chad O'Connor, Erin, Sean Welsh; and sister of Patricia Yesko (and the late Frank), Geraldine Slattery, and the late Michael Slattery; brother-in-law of Charles Big Hap O'Connor (and the late Joan), and Roberta Toth and her husband, Robert. She spent her life creating wonderful memories for her children and grandchildren. She especially loved the Christmas Season and always made the holidays special. She enjoyed traveling with her family and occasionally playing a slot machine or two. The greatest joy was her grandchildren, who she had a special bond and will miss with all her heart. Friends received Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale.
