NIELANDER GEORGE W. "BUD" Born in Pittsburgh on June 19, 1936, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013, as a result of prostate cancer. George served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1962, attaining the rank of Staff Sargent. He returned to the Pittsburgh area in the early 1960s, lived in East Liberty, and raised his two children after an early divorce, later moving to nearby Oakland after his children grew up. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Isabel Nielander. George is survived by son, George (Donna); and daughter, Debra Ishida; siblings, Patricia Florig, Virginia Deloe, and Tom (Nelita) Nielander; grandchildren, Sean and Maureen; cousins, John and Bill Kammerling; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family plans no viewing. Service and Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans, 1000 Liberty Ave., Pgh., PA 15222.
