PARLAK EDWARD ALBERT, SR. 85, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri. On February 14, 1928, he was born in Plum Borough, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Yurkanin Parlak. He was united in marriage to Dolores Scripp Parlak, who preceded him in death in 2006. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M. Van Hooser (Dennis) of Eldon, MO, Margaret A. Vargo (Chuck) of Bridgeton, MO; one son, Edward A. Parlak of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren, Robert Bruns, Jr., Jason Bruns, Chuck Vargo, Barbara George; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Gavin, Beckett, Alyssa, Chloe, Jase, Serenity, and Trinity; brothers and sisters, Alice Parlak, Louise Litvak, Tom Parlak, Steve Parlak, and Patricia Counts. He was also preceded by three brothers and three sisters. Edward served in the US Army and was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. He served as governor for Wilmerding Moose Lodge in Wilmerding, PA. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Thurs. 2-4, 6-8 p.m. Mass Fri. 10 a.m. St. Agnes Church. Interment at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
